Olympic fun for children at Salisbury Cathedral this summer

Salisbury Cathedral is running four different Olympic inspired summer activities for children and their families this summer:

Sporting storytime  Monday July 30th – Friday August 3rd and Monday August 6th – Friday August 10th. 12.15pm – 12.30pm under the tree opposite the Cathedral visitors’ entrance (in cloisters if wet).

Junior Craft: London 2012 Monday 30th July  –  Friday 3rd August and Monday 6th August  – Friday 10th August.  Weekday drop-in sessions from 10.30am – 12noon and 1.30pm – 3.00pm, for fun Olympic-inspired crafts for children of all ages, £3 per child per session (children must be accompanied by an adult).

First Seekers: Going for Gold Activity Mornings Monday 20th August  – Friday 24th August, 10.30am  – 12.15pm.  Five different activity mornings based on Olympic themes, with storytelling, music, Bible reflection and craft.  For children 5 – 12 years, £4.00 per child per session. Parents may leave their children knowing they will be safely cared for. Places limited so must be booked.

Special Olympic-themed trail: On the Podium – an all-age trail around the Cathedral seeking gold, silver and bronze. Free at the Cathedral entrance. Get your medal sticker from the shop on completion. Available every day during the summer holidays from Friday 27th July to Sunday  9th September.
