BBC Countryfile Christmas in the Park will take up residency across five acres of Charlton Park Estate’s beautiful parkland. All centred around the arboretum, which will be home to a special festive tented village – with the Countryfile presenters as the hosts.

Visitors can look forward to presenter-led stage shows, TV chefs and local food heroes creating seasonal favourites, Christmas crafting and baking workshops, winter woodland walks, live bands, street food, carol singing and shopping from over 200 retailers.

To make things even more festive, visitors can even pick their own locally grown Charlton Park Christmas tree, in the Great Christmas Tree Sale.

The presenters of Countryfile will be present across the weekend hosting various stage talks and activities at the BBC Countryfile at Christmas Stage. Food lovers can enjoy The Christmas Kitchen, hosted by the legendary Brian Turner and featuring some of the nation’s favourite chefs.

Outdoor lovers can also join The Woodland Trust on a series of expert-guided walks around Charlton Park’s stunning arboretum, where they can learn about the various flora and fauna, as well as how to tend their own gardens over the winter months. Kids can also get involved with Woodland Trust festive workshops, such as make your own reindeer from hazel sticks.

Once the arboretum has been fully explored, then visitors can head to the Carol-Oke stage, where a host of local choirs and Countryfile presenters will be performing all of the festive favourites to sing along to.

All of that fun will no doubt work up an appetite and thankfully there’s plenty of opportunity for delicious festive delicacies at The Park Food Market & Wine Bar – which will offer a delicious array of street food and of course warming mugs of mulled wine.
