Christmas at Longleat, near Warminster
15th November to 4th January
Longleat Safari & Adventure Park’s Christmas celebrations will be bigger and better than ever before with a host of festive attractions to enjoy. Running from Friday, November 15th until Saturday, January 4th*Christmas at Longleat brings together all the magic of the holiday season in one amazing day out. From Santa trains, ice skating and a giant singing Christmas tree to pantomime dames, a winter safari and penguins.
The unique, giant 50ft Singing Christmas Tree, which has over 300,000 individual lights and is the only one of its kind in the Europe, forms the centrepiece of Christmas celebrations in the Stable Yard.
Fairytale favourites Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf will be joining a host of other characters including Jack and the Beanstalk, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Cinderella, Prince Charming and The Fairy Godmother inside Longleat House bringing the enchanted world of Pantomime Tales magically to life.

Swindon Christmas Light Switch-On
Wharf Green 21st November from 16.00
Street theatre and live music from Nathan Jones and his Allstar Jazz Band, Charlie-Anne, Josh Kumra, Colour The Atlas and Jahmene Douglas, plus fantastic performances
from Swindon Dance, Swindon Ovation, aerial hoop performer Emily Smith. Keith Chegwin will be appearing on the Big Screen.
Light Switch on at 6pm.

Salisbury Christmas Lights Switch On
21st November 18:00 – 20:00
There will be performances from street dance group Elevate, girl band ‘The Vanillas’, Sandy Ince from Sticky Toffee Jazz and Innervision. Countdown begins at 19:00 followed by fireworks. The lights will be switched on in the Market Square year by Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood.

Calne Winter Festival and Christmas Lights Switch On

Lantern parade and Christmas lights switch on plus food and drink, street stalls, funfair and fireworks. Wiltshire Council run car parks will be free.

Salisbury Lantern Procession
28th November from 18:00
Hundreds of lanterns parade through the city, ending at the Christmas Market. Led by the Band of the Bugles of The Rifles, it will start at 18:00 from Leaden Hall
School in the Cathedral grounds and end at the Market Square at 18:30. Salisbury Plain Military Wives Choir will be singing at 20:00.

Exciting craft and food stalls in front of the Guildhall. The market is now in its second year.

Lights switch on and fireworks 18.45
Christmas markets in the Market Place and Corn Exchange, live music and street theatre. Lantern parade of 2,000 people circles the town and returns to the Market Place where Santa switches on the town’s Christmas Lights. Event ends with fireworks display.

From Darkness to Light advent Procession, Salisbury Cathedral
29th and Saturday 30th November at 19:00 and 1st December at 17.00
Salisbury Cathedral’s spectacular Advent Procession ‘From Darkness to Light’ begins with the Cathedral in total darkness and silence as the single Advent Candle is lit. By the end the whole interior of the medieval building is seen in the light of 1300 flickering candles.

Warminster Lantern Parade and Lights Switch-on
30th November
Lantern Paraders follow a 25-piece samba band along The Avenue and Station Road into the Market Place to meet Father Christmas, Warminster Community Choir and special guests to switch on the Christmas lights. There will be fireworks too. Road closed in Market Place from 15:30 to 18:30. Free parking in all Wiltshire Council Car Parks

Wilton Christmas Tree Lighting
2nd December
The tallest living Christmas Tree in Europe will have its lighst switched on on 2nd December with an event starting at 18:00. It includes a nativity play by Wilton Christian Fellowship and local children, mulled wine from the Rotary Club of Wilton, the Wiltshire Chef’s sausages, Father Christmas and his sleigh, Sarum Morris dancers and mummers and plenty of community carol singing. Carols will be sung in the Greyhound pub and mulled wine and mince pies, mummers and music will be in The Bear in West Street.

Amesbury Christmas Market and Light Switch-On
4th December 18:30 – 20:30
Santa and his sleigh handing out sweets to children, plus Christmas stalls available with festive goodies to buy.

Royal Wootton Bassett Christmas Lights and Shopping Event
6th December, from 18:00.
Street entertainment, Santa in his grotto, fairground rides, carol singing, stalls and late night shopping.
The Town Hall Museum will be open for hot punch and mince pies.

Christmas Tree Festival, Lacock
8th December to 5th January, from 11:00
25 Christmas trees in the cloisters decorated by local community groups from Lacock and the surrounding area.

Salisbury Cathedral Choir perform ‘A Christmas Celebration’
Wednesday 11th December at 19.30
Christmas music and Christmas readings and poetry in the Cathedral. Directed by David Halls.

Christmas Carols at Bowood House, near Calne
13th December from 18.30 for a 19:00 start
Music by the Avebury Vocal Ensembe led by Sir Peter Beale the private chapel of Bowood House in support of the Wiltshire Blind Association.
The concert will be followed by mulled wine and mince pies.
