Hairy Bikers and James Martin join Longleat food and Drink Festival

The Hairy Bikers and TV chef James Martin will be among the highlights at this year’s Longleat Food & Drink Festival (June 23rd – 24th).

As well as live cooking masterclasses, the two-day celebration of British summertime will also feature Market Street which plays host to 30 open-air food and drinks stalls, as well as live music, classic cars and vintage fairground rides.

Visitors will be able to enjoy music from a selection of talented local bands; including West Country favourites – The Wurzels – who will be performing on Sunday.

Emma, Viscountess Weymouth, who is an enthusiastic cook herself, will be joining James, Si and Dave on stage to assist with their live food demonstrations and has curated a special Luxury Afternoon Tea* in the Great Hall at Longleat House.

As well as the live masterclasses, the chefs will also be available for book signings.

“I am so pleased to be hosting the second Food & Drink Festival here at Longleat and to have the opportunity to watch accomplished chefs like James, Si and Dave in action,” said Emma.

“Food is one of my great passions and to be able to host an entire weekend devoted to the very best local produce as well as tastes from around the world is a dream come true.

“We have done a lot to make this year’s event even more family-friendly and to celebrate everything that’s special about the British summertime,” she added.

Events will be taking place in a large open-sided marquee and there will be giant television screens relaying the demonstrations live.
