Former NATO General Secretary to give talk at Salisbury Guildhall

“Can an unstable world be made safer?”

Lord Robertson of Port Ellen is set to host an evening of speech and discussion at Salisbury Guildhall. The event has been organised by Arundells and is taking place on 20 November.

Lord Robertson is speaking as a distinguished expert in the field of politics and international relations with a career spanning several decades and including time spent in roles such as General Secretary to NATO, Secretary of State for Defence as well as serving as a Member of Parliament in Hamilton South between 1978 and 1999.

Arundells is the estate and previous home of former Prime Minister Edward Heath. Within the estate are a number of attractions such as the beautiful scenic garden, artwork painted by Heath himself and the restored Yacht where Heath spent much of his time in retirement.

Arudnells also contributes to putting on a number of educational and artistic events within the grounds and around Salisbury, attracting a number of high profile speakers and artists.

The talk itself will be covering various issues surrounding modern international relations and promises to be a unique insight into global politics.
